So I download the patch to 2.6.19.1. and compiled, booted.
Took a look at ntp after a while:
[root at epia ~]# ntpq -pn
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset
jitter

A bit later:
[root at epia ~]# ntpq -pn
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset
jitter

See how stuff gets worse? Bigger offsets.
Then I unplugged the gps.
[root at epia ~]# ntpq -pn
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset
jitter

And stuff got better again.
So what does a stratum 8 gps do!?
Any ideas?
/proc stuff still don't work.
