LinuxPPS doesn't support linux 2.4 anymore (even if changes are quite
small) but no problem on 2.6, you should obtaining a patch for your
kernel using GIT (see the WIKI) and then applying it to your MIPS
kernel.

Also, you need a PPS source driver/client if your system doesn't use
the serial line as PPS input (see the WIKI at " Coding example").
