If I interrupt the clone command it is deleting everything downloaded so far. I 
am using git 1.4.2.4.

I had started with earlier version of ntp-pps-2.6.17-rc5.diff. Had then 
upgraded with individual patches from the git web interface. I currently using 
2.6.19-rc2 with linuxpps.
