[LinuxPPS] How to set Parallel Port Support?

As a followon to my previous message, HOW DO YOU SET
Parallel port support.

I have 'parallel port support' on as a module.
I have 'PC-style hardware' selected.

I dont see anything else (there must be) related to parallel ports.
A comment saying what I need to do would REALLY help.
