[LinuxPPS] PPS-echo implementation options - RFC

Hi all,
at the moment, the pps-echo implementation uses the leading edge of  
the PPS pulse to trigger the ECHO active transition.  It then uses an  
internal delay/timer to reset the ECHO to the inactive state.

Another possibility would be to trigger the ECHO inactive transition  
from the PPS pulse inactive transition.  Ie the ECHO pulse would  
follow the PPS pulse exactly.  This would then mean that it is a true  
ECHO of the PPS pulse.
Should this be the way the ECHO is implemented?
